Sustainable Lifestyle Choices:
I prefer cycling to most places or nearly all of them. Otherwise, I rely on walking or public transportation.
Recycled Clothing/everyday needs
I make it a point to buy recycled and second-hand clothes and essentials. There’s a huge market for these sustainable items in the Northeast of India.
Eco-Friendly Water Solutions
I never use bottled water. Instead, I opt for water from tubewells, mountain streams, or petrol/gas stations. As a backup, I always carry water-treatment pills and a Lifestraw to ensure safe drinking water on the go.
Carry Reusable Bags
I always have a shopping bag with me, and I also keep a few plastic bags I’ve collected when items were packed in them. I reuse these bags until they’re no longer usable.
Eco-Conscious Soap
Cinthol Classic Red soap is my go-to choice. It’s the only soap I’ve found that’s completely free of plastic or multi-layered packaging, making it a great eco-friendly option.
Bamboo Toothbrushes
I use bamboo toothbrushes and even carry a few extras in my bag. Not only do they serve as my future supply, but I also gift them to people I meet along the way as a thoughtful eco-friendly gesture.
